Rossi Valentino Ladies' Rolex-style Watch

Rossi Valentino Rolex-style ladies' watch.

I've heard of this name before but it was in the form of a professional motorcycle racer (it was actually flipped around - Valentino Rossi)... but this is the first time I heard of this name as a watch brand. Regardless, it features a Quartz, 3 ATM water resistance, with a Rolex-styled stainless steel case, and has a sapphire crystal with magnifying bubble over the date.

Quite nice, for its price.

Alba Quartz for the Missus ( VX82-X406)

Just bought an Alba Quartz for the missus. She wanted a new watch, with bracelet "this time". I got her the Alba with black dial with gems, solid-link bracelet(!). Overall fairly high quality piece for the price.

I originally wanted to get her an automatic Orient. But I was not able to get any within a limited time, but on top of that, after some thought there's this issue with her not wearing the automatic watch all the time, which might cause it to wind down and stop, and she might think it's a hassle to set it after that. So a quartz it is.
Black dial, very elegant

Casio Baby-G Ana-Digi (BGA-200)

This Casio Baby-G Ana-Digi belongs to a friend. As I didn't check what model it is, a little searching on the internet and the closest I found should be the BGA-200 model. This is one very nice black model, very minimalist and stylish at the same time.

I like the white over black display. The date displays 2 alphabets instead of the usual three (as can be seen "WE" instead of "WED" which takes some getting used to I guess. Not sure what the upper right corner (lower right in this shot) shows, looks like an element to show the time passing. Not sure about the "04" as well, but I'm guessing the seconds counter.

It was strapped to a basket so I just took a shot like that.

"Bell" Quartz Ladies Watch

This is my wife's "Bell" quartz ladies watch. I am not sure if this is supposed to be a knock-off of the brand, or what, as I am not familiar with any "Bell" brand.

Anyway, this watch is unused and only dug up by me for blogging purposes. Not much info I know about it other than it's a Ladies quartz. The case and its bracelet is made from what seems like transparent plastic or perspex material of some sort.

Casio MTP and LTP-1183A-7ADF for my sister-in-law and her husband

So, my wife has this wonderful idea that we not only gift their children the digital watches in the previous post, but we also gift her sister and her husband matching watches. Here they are:

Yes, Casio again.. But why not? they are affordable, they look great and they last a long time. Great "bang for the buck".

These models are the MTP and LTP-1183A-7ADF. They are the classic design, no lume, elegant silver dial that will look good for years. A bit lightweight, but the design should work for most environment, whether in office, at dinners, etc. Pretty sure they will like it. They used to have watches, which are of questionable brand, and for some reason are either not working now or not wearing it any longer.

Again, hopefully these will kickstart their interest.

UPDATE: More photos! Someone was interested in the watch so I took more photos and some comparison with my existing watches..

Fake Rolex Ladies Datejust

This is a fake women's Rolex. Very low quality build. This is a watch that is left behind by my wife's grandparents.

As you can see, everything about it is low quality, the crystal is foggy and not sapphire, the case is not well polished. And one of the "diamonds" near the crown is missing.

I am not condoning fakes, as you can see by above I point out just how bad it is. But in my neck of woods back then, these fakes are everywhere and authorities don't give a damn about it. Almost everyone I know had grandparents or parents who had one at some point.

Casio Ladies LTF-115

Sorry for bad photos, these were taken at night.

Another Casio in our collection, this scratched and heavily worn "Pink Butterfly" Casio belongs to my lovely wife. She has another 2 watches in her collection, which I will put on here some other time. But this is the watch that she wears the most. Indeed, she has worn out the original leather strap, and this one in the pictures is a replacement. Other than needing a new battery, this watch never gave her any problems.

It's no wonder Casios are so popular in our family, unlike some cheaper Quartz watches which fall apart, Casios last even with very heavy use.

Here's a promo image of that watch in proper lighting:

It is weird that I could not find this watch on Casio's web site, perhaps it had been discontinued.
