Bad picture
Last post, I had the Orient Wingman on and looked like it has a huge overhang off my wrist. That's because I had the watch strap resting on top of the desk, and it was pushed upwards a slightly. And add the magnifying effect of my smartphone wide-angle(ish) camera, the watch looks like a huge clock on my wrist, and further made huge with the illusive wide dial of the Wingman. Add to that I was trying to get an angle without reflections. Which I assure isn't the case. The watch actually fits quite well on my 6.5++ inch wrist when all is said, the camera wide lens is the main culprit, followed by the slightly loose strap.

New Leather Strap for my Orient 'Wingman' CER2D001B
Got a new tan leather strap for my Orient 'Wingman' today.
The 'Wingman' gives a very clear and very readable dial, this version with the PVD so it remains readable in bright conditions. You could read the time from a mile away. And many times I have found people trying to read the time off my wrist as a result. Either that, or they are admiraing the Orient 'Wingman' CER2D001B.
The stealthily designed date window lines up with the white line at the 3 O'Clock, so it is not apparent at first glance but is there when you look closer, which is a nice touch.
Is there more nice touches? Yeah. Many in fact, but one stood out that I just found out : when you adjust the time, as you push the crown back after setting the time, the minute falls back to EXACTLY where it is supposed to be accordingly to the seconds hand! E.g. if the seconds hand is at the 30 position, the minute hands falls to halfway between the minute markers!
How about that for nice touches?

Orient 'Charlene' CNR1Q004W
Orient 'Charlene' CNR1Q004W Women's watch for my wife.
The surprising thing is, this feels like it has manual winding! Well it wasn't listed in the specs, but it does have the tactile feel of a winding watch when you turn the crown! I'm unable to verify this as the watch was already wound up and ticking. Will have to wait till it winds down and try out the winding to see if it is real; I would be really surprised if this is true.
*EDIT* Just used this thing called internet search engine, found that it does indeed have manual winding. See here.
You can buy one here.

Evaporating Currencies
Recall my post last month when I mentioned dwinlding currencies affecting my purchasing power, when it was MYR 3.86 to a USD?
Well, scratch that... nowadays it is approaching MYR 4.26 to a USD. Every thing is evaporating. At least water evaporates into clouds which rains. Where does the MYR evaporate to?

Orient CEM65007B "Ray Raven"
Some (terrible- sorry!) cellular shots of my CEM65007B on those nice silicon rubber straps today. (Ignore the transparent plastic piece I put on the crystal, it's a plastic sheet from another watch I put on there as a joke and completely forgotten about it).
Dwindling Currencies..
The state of the MYR currency is appalling. At something like MYR 3.86 to a USD, it's not looking good for everyone of us. Every savings is continuously 'evaporating' into thin air. Any investment too. I have some outside currency investment but it's too little to be of any use to offset this.
At this rate, any sort of luxury is gone. Watch collecting and stuff will have to stop too.
I Has A Sad.
